Estimating how much rubbish you have is the single biggest factor in getting an accurate quote. You don't need to be precise — a reasonable estimate plus photos is plenty.
Think in volume, not weight
Most Sydney rubbish removal is priced by volume (how much space your items take in the truck) plus access. Weight matters most for dense materials like concrete, tiles and appliances.
A rough guide to loads
- Single item — one sofa, mattress or fridge.
- Small load (ute/trailer) — a few large items plus several bags.
- Medium load — a garage corner or a one-bedroom clear-out.
- Large load — a full garage or two-bedroom property.
- Full property cleanout — a whole house or unit cleared top to bottom.
How to estimate quickly
- Walk the rooms and list the big items first.
- Estimate bags/boxes in roughly 10s.
- Note any dense, heavy items separately — they affect price.
Photos beat estimates
Send a few photos in the quote form and we'll estimate volume for you — far more accurate than a guess.
