What happens to green waste after we collect it depends on the facility that accepts it. Here's a general, honest overview.
The usual pathway
Collected green waste is typically taken to a facility that processes organic material — often mulched or composted. Exactly what happens depends on the receiving facility and the material's condition.
We don't overstate it
We won't claim a specific recycling outcome or that disposal is free unless it's genuinely offered. Some councils run free green waste drop-off events — check yours.
